About the calculators

Where do the calculator prices come from?
From the real market rates we publish in our prices section, collected from Spanish hire companies and updated in August 2026. They are indicative ranges excluding VAT — the exact price comes in the quotes.
Why does the daily rate drop for longer hires?
Standard industry laddering: a week usually costs about 4 single days, a month about 10–12 days. The calculators already apply that progressive discount.
How do I know what platform height I need?
Rule of thumb: 3 metres per floor plus 2 metres of working height above the surface you touch. The height calculator does it for you and recommends a platform type with its price. When in doubt, size up.
Is delivery included in the result?
Toggle it in the cost calculator: it adds a €200–500 range for both ways, which is typical for urban and metropolitan distances in Spain. Remote sites can differ — the quotes will say.
Should I trust the hire-or-buy verdict?
As a first pass, yes: it spreads the purchase over 5 years and adds 12% a year for maintenance, insurance and storage. For a real buying decision, also ask suppliers for long-term rates — beyond a certain usage they negotiate much lower monthly pricing.
